Attending:  John Torvik, Jim Nagy, Jane Broberg, Jim Collins, Jim Stahl, Linda Chandler, Shelly Hulse

Action Items: 

Shelly:  Email den leaders to let her know when their boys joined scouts for service pins.

Open:  Schedule Hidden Valley Park for May pack picnic

Shelly:  Buy Space Derby rockets to distribute at October pack meeting

Mr. Frederickson:  Cut out 2 den totems (1 for tigers, 1 for Jim Stahl’s den)

Jim Collins:  Email den leaders to advise of open volunteer slots – to include wreath distribution.  Bring koolaid jug?

Jim Nagy:  Bring drink mix, napkins, cups to Oct. pack meeting.

Treasurers Report:  Bank Balance Aprox. $1,600 still ahead of budget. 

Review September Pack Meeting:  Awards Ceremony long for some kids-possibly having older kids go first so younger kids keep their attention.  Shelly will email den leaders to get years that their boys started scouts for service pins. 

John Torvik will come to first tiger den meeting.

Fall Roundup:  9 new boys joining our pack – including 5 tigers

Volunteer Opportunities:

Treasurer position remains open.  Still actively recruiting.

Jim Collins will email den leaders with open volunteer opportunities to appoint within their dens-including wreath distribution. 

Awards Coordinator:  Transition will occur during the year-Shelly will be done in February-when Linda will be taking over. 

October Pack Meeting:  Stations as follows:

Distribute Space Derby Rockets

Den Totems:  Older boys will help tigers with their totem.  Dens will update their totems as needed.

Uniform Inspection:  Shelly will run this station and recruit help as necessary-a feather and bead will be awarded to boys passing uniform inspection-to be placed on their totem-along with an attendance bead.

Volunteer Opportunity Station:  Jim Collins to recruit for any open slots.

Refreshments:  Jim Nagy will bring drink mix, water bottles, napkins and cups leftover form the last pack meeting.  Den that is in charge of refreshments will make sure to have a volunteer at this station to keep mess to a minimum. 

November Pack Meeting:  Space Derby!!

No scoring-just fun-Jim Collins may need to make a few repairs/adjustments to the track.
